Thank you for your interest in the Boone Police Department's Investigation Division. My name is Jon Houck and I serve as the Commander of the Investigations Division for the Boone Police Department.
During the past ten years, I have served the Department as a Patrol Officer, Narcotics Investigator, Narcotics Sergeant, and now as Criminal Investigations Division Commander. I have attended many specialized training courses related to investigation techniques, leadership and management, narcotics enforcement, and criminal law. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Garner-Webb University. I have received my Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission. I also hold a General Instructor Certification and a Specialized Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Certification.
