My name is Bobby Creed and I serve as the Captain of the Uniform Bureau for the department. The Uniform Bureau is comprised of the Uniform Patrol Division, Special Operations, and the Administrative Services Unit, which are all broken down into smaller units.
My career started in 2003 with the department after completing an internship in the summer of 2002. I began employment in April of 2003 serving as a Patrol Officer for six years. From 2009 to 2012, I served as a General Investigator in Criminal Investigations Division. From 2012 to 2015, I came back to the Patrol Division and served as a Patrol Sergeant. From 2015 to 2020, I served as a Patrol Lieutenant. In 2018, I assumed the position of Patrol Commander, and in 2020, as Captain over the Uniform Patrol Bureau.
I am a graduate of Pinecrest High School, located in Southern Pines, NC. In 2002, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University. I have received both my Intermediate and Advance Law Enforcement Certificates from the North Carolina Criminal Justice and Training Standards Commission. I also hold a General Instructor Certification and hold a Specialized Instructors Certification in Physical Fitness. I also hold certifications as a Rapid Deployment Instructor, Taser Instructor, and Simunition Non-Lethal Instructor. I am a graduate of the 277th session of the FBI National Academy.
