The Town of Boone Utility Billing Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Customer Service Representative. Performs intermediate skilled clerical work collecting revenues and assisting customers and related work as required.
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some bookkeeping experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
General knowledge of revenue collection terminology, methods, procedures and equipment; general knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to follow work procedures; ability to post accounts and to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy; skill in the use of a variety of office machines and some typing ability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
Salary:
$38,115 negotiable, dependent on experience, plus excellent benefits. Employee will serve a six-month probation.
