and local law enforcement agencies request the public’s help in identifying
the person(s) responsible for the following crimes

Sometime
during the overnight hours of Wednesday January 11th, an unknown
person broke into a number of businesses near the intersection of State Farm
Road and Shadowline Drive in Boone. The businesses affected were Smart
Products, Gilmore and Lewis, First Things First, All American Hearing Center,
and Tennile and Associates at 820 State Farm Road
and Blue Ridge Nephrology and Hypertension Center at 400 Shadowline
Drive. Small amounts of cash were
taken.
An
additional break in was reported at Weichert Realty
at 2554 Highway 105 South. It is
unknown at this time if this breaking and entering is connected to the
previously described incidents.

On
January 3rd an unknown male stole a drill from New River Building
Supply in Boone. The Watauga County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance
with identification of the individual in the pictures.

Between the hours of 9:00 pm
on 01-02-2012 and 7:45 am on 01-03-2012, someone forcibly entered the Village
Laundry located at 217 Wilson Drive and took an undisclosed amount of money.
There was property damage inside the business as well.

Sometime
between 12/12/2011 and 12/16/2011 someone took a 12’ lowboy type pull behind
trailer from US Hwy 421 North near the D and B Mini Mart.

On December 12, 2011 a report
was filed with the Boone Police in reference to a breaking and entering at
the Carpet House located on Boone Docks Street. It was reported that an unknown person(s)
broke into the business sometime over Friday night into early Saturday
morning.

On December 10, 2011 a
report was filed with the Boone Police in reference to a breaking and
entering and larceny from High Country Honda.
It was reported that an unknown person(s) broke into the business
sometime over Friday night into early Saturday morning.

On November 21, 2011 a
larceny report was reported by Lowes Hardware. Employees reported that a black male and
two black females entered the store during business hours and took $919.54
worth of Dewalt power tools without paying. Video surveillance shows the suspects
entering the store, removing the items, and leaving the store at two
different exits. The suspects got into
a cream colored Honda Accord with a temporary registration tag and left in an
unknown direction.
The black male is described as
being 6’01”, 220 pounds with short hair.
One of the females is described as being 5’07”, 160 pounds with long
hair and the other was described as being 5’05”, 240 pounds with long hair in
a ponytail.
Management also reported that
the same suspects committed a larceny at the Lowes Hardware in Morganton, NC
earlier that day. It was reported that
the suspects entered that store and took Dewalt
power tools without paying.

Sometime between December 4th
& December 5th 2011, an unknown person or persons broke into
Casey & Casey law offices as well as Powell W. Glidewell’s
law office located on West King Street. It is unknown at this time what if
anything was taken from the businesses.

Sometime during the overnight
hours of Wednesday November 30th, an unknown person or persons
broke into Boone Ford/Lincoln/Mercury on New Market Boulevard.

On Tuesday November 29th
at approximately 8:20 p.m. an unknown individual used a stolen credit card at
the Kangaroo convenience store near the former TCBY in Boone. The transaction was captured on
surveillance video and the suspect is pictured as a heavy male wearing a work
coat and a striped knit cap.

On November 27, 2011
a larceny was reported to the Boone Police Department. The victim reported that a 2005 Kawasaki
Mule was taken from the driveway in the Laurel Dr. area sometime between November 25, 2011
and November
27, 2011. The victim
described the Kawasaki as an ATV vehicle that is camouflage in color with a
long bench and push bar attached.

Sometime over the Thanksgiving
holiday someone took eight (8) light fixtures and specialty light bulbs from Kingswood Condominiums on East King Street.

On November 16, 2011, Boone
Police responded to the area Boone Heights Dr. in reference to several
break-ins to the businesses located in the area. Three businesses were broken into, and an
undisclosed amount of valuables was taken from each business. A fourth business was not broken into but
an attempt was made and was not successful.
A white colored vehicle was
seen in the area and caught on video surveillance around 6:30 am. The passenger got out walking towards one
of the businesses that was broken into.

Sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Monday,
November 14th a residence near Papa John’s Pizza in Boone was
broken into. The house, located on
Beverly Heights Avenue, was entered while the residents were away for that
short time period and a number of items were taken including guns and musical
equipment. Evidence at the scene
indicates a vehicle drove up to and away from the front door of the home.

On
October 12, 2011 the Boone Police Department took a report in reference to a
stolen purse from Burger King. The victim told police that she left her purse
at the table after she finished eating and when she returned a short time
later the purse was gone. Boone Police are requesting assistance in
identifying these three individuals for questioning regarding this case.

On the night of Wednesday October 19th
at approximately 10:20 p.m., two men stole scrap metal from behind the Custom
Muffler business on the NC Hwy 105 extension in Boone. A dark colored Honda sedan, occupied by one
white male and one black male, was captured on surveillance video. The video shows the men placing brake
rotors and other parts in the Honda’s trunk before leaving.
