The Town of Boone Planning and Inspections Department is now open to the public.  Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.

NOTICE: The Town of Boone Downtown Planning Projects 

The Town of Boone is currently engaged in the planning process on two downtown projects that will guide and inform development in what is commonly known as the Downtown area.  The two projects include:

  1. Creation of two new B1 Downtown Zoning Districts to replace and expand the existing B1 Central Business District and
  2. Designation of a Downtown Boone Local Historic District

Inspections.   We ask that all property owners and contractors notify our Staff if anyone on site has an illness in order for special arrangements to be made for the requested inspection.  

Development Related Meetings.  Any meeting with applicants will be scheduled through the Planning and Inspections project manager for the case.   Please call (828) 268-6960 for more information.
