Jones House Community Center

  • In the early 1980’s, the Town of Boone, North Carolina received the wonderful gift of the historic Jones House. This was made possible by the foresight of Mazie Jean Jones Levenson, daughter of Dr. John Walter Jones and his wife Mattie Blackburn Jones who built the house in 1908. Conscious of the need to preserve the history of Boone, Mazie has provided Boone with many gifts wrapped up in one including a historic building, a community meeting space, galleries, and a visitor’s center.
