All Town of Boone residents are encouraged to attend the Progress Pride Flag raising event on June 2, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 567 West King Street. During the May 10, 2023 Boone Town Council meeting, the Boone Town Council passed a Pride Month Proclamation for the month of June.
In addition, the proclamation declared that the Town of Boone raise the Progress Pride flag on June 2, 2023 in order to recognize all LGBTQIA+ residents in the Town of Boone. “I am proud of Boone for once again recognizing June as Pride Month. It is in keeping with the values of this wonderful town that everyone is welcomed, appreciated and celebrated.” - Councilmember Todd Carter.
